Playing around with blogger.com

Hrm.

I've been having a bit of a play around with this blogging engine, and I'm not too convinced. Oddly, the thing that bothers me the most is the lack of any way to really control who reads what.

The thing I've always liked about livejournal is the 'friends only' option. I like being able to write something and decide whether I want to make it public (otherwise known as 'I'm ok with anyone reading this, be it my Dad, or my psycho ex'), friends only (otherwise known as 'I've got a list of people with livejournal log ins who I trust to see this') or even customized friends groups. It seems to take a lot of the passive aggressive out of journalling, which blogspot doesn't do so well.

At least this has the disable anonymous commenting etc type settings, which are fairly important.

Not entirely sure why I'm posting this here. Mostly because it seems a little bit more appropriate than putting it all up on livejournal where no one cares!

Hmmmm...

If I'm honest, this blog is primarily being created so I don't have to leave anonymous comments in Leah and Robin's blog.

My primary blog will remain at http://www.livejournal.com/users/annwfyn. Sadly, that's mostly locked to friends viewing only, but it'll probably give a bit of background as to who I am for anyone who wants to find out.
